During its Closed Beta testing, I played Perfect World as a YuMang Character (for those who are not familiar, think of elves with wings). PW keeps your hand full with quests guiding you to be familiar with everything inside of the world. For a MMORPG, it sure has lots of quests.
Newbie? Do the quests!
Questing in the Perfect World has its advantages and disadvantages. It serves as a guide to where you’ll be going and what monsters will keep you leveling easier. However, with so many quests, it is also one of the factor why most hardcore online gamers leave PW.
I myself from time to time returns to RF Online whenever the quests and the grinding gets over my head. There are just too many quests and so much leveling to do. Although there is still something in PW that I have to experience myself, the Territorial War.
Time to dominate
In order for me to witness this Territorial War in PW, I created a new character in Perfect World as a Yao Shou (humanoid beasts) and decided to join my guild members in the realm of Perfect World. Good thing I don’t have to go through all the application process in joining the guild. LOL. So far, I’m on my way to leveling and do lots of quests again. Especially that there are friends who can help me through the hardships of questing and leveling.
Our guild, Holy Order of the Light, was PW’s champion last year at LU Live. The guild has been dominating PW’s Dragon server for quite some time now. Even if I’m one of the Keepers (councils) in the guild, I am more of heading the guild in RF Online rather than the hundreds of members in PW because I am more used to just playing and killing than grinding and do lots of quests.
