Server Eliminations on-hold and Ondoy’s wrath
As many Perfect World players know by now, we have put the Server Eliminations for Tiger Server and Serpent Server last Saturday (September 26, 2009). We don’t want any of our players risking their lives going out, looking for internet cafes and logging in just to be able to not forfeit their chance in the Phoenix Council Wars 2009 Tournament. We advised everyone to go home and stay in a dry place. As you can see in the picture, you can already go Scuba Diving in Makati’s Underpass during Typhoon Ondoy’s wrath. Unable to contact a friend and a team mate. <UPDATE: We’re now able to contact SteelWing. He’s now safe and only with a fever. Thank you all!.> Until today (Monday – September 28, 2009), we are unable to contact GM SteelWing. He lives in Sampaloc, Manila and we hope that he’s okay. If someone knows Poli Josef Iñigo personally aka “SteelWing” or if you’re his neighbor, is there any news about him? We were unable to contact him since Saturday. He’s not also replying in our text messages. You can help the victims of Ondoy Currently, as you’ve seen in the news, there are lots of ways to help the victims of Ondoy. Google even setup a landing page for Help for Typhoon Ondoy’s victims here. You can also see in that google page your nearest relief operations center where you can send your donations of bottled waters, canned goods, rice, old clothes and etc… Donate To Red Cross We can also donate to the Philippine red Cross right in our seats via our cellphones by sending RED<space><amount> to 4493 for SMART or 2899 for GLOBE subscribers. ex. RED 300 to 4493 for SMART or 2899 for GLOBE subscribers.
Later that day, we’ve become the victims of Ondoy as well. A few level-up employees and the PW GM Team that day (us) was stranded in our office until Sunday. The only problem we encounter in the 11th floor is food. Restaurants outside the building and below closed early due to the Typhoon. GM DreadFang and I was able to go home Sunday afternoon.
