2 Male Hedgehogs for Sale

Last Saturday was unexpected. Ondoy flooded our house and with that flood includes my supply (for 2 months) of wood shavings and food for this cute critters getting wet. With that, since we need money to recover from the flood and money for getting new wood shavings and food for the animals here in our house, I’m selling two (2) male hedgehogs for a low price.

Hedgehogs for sale.

vader in the park2I’m selling each hedgehog for 3,000php each. That’s already discounted and very low compared to the market price of a hedgehog which normally is 6,000php to 12,000php (bioresearch pet store).

The money from this will be bought food supply and wood shavings for the other hedgehogs (including the baby hedgies) and pets we have. Also for recovering the damage Ondoy caused last Saturday.

If you’re interested in buying them, please leave a comment in this post or contact me directly at chinoyray@live.com or 0908.863.60.26.

Thank you in advance.

Server Eliminations on-hold and Ondoy’s wrath

As many Perfect World players know by now, we have put the Server Eliminations for Tiger Server and Serpent Server last Saturday (September 26, 2009).

We don’t want any of our players risking their lives going out, looking for internet cafes and logging in just to be able to not forfeit their chance in the Phoenix Council Wars 2009 Tournament. We advised everyone to go home and stay in a dry place.

Later that day, we’ve become the victims of Ondoy as well. A few level-up employees and the PW GM Team that day (us) was stranded in our office until Sunday. The only problem we encounter in the 11th floor is food. Restaurants outside the building and below closed early due to the Typhoon. GM DreadFang and I was able to go home Sunday afternoon.

As you can see in the picture, you can already go Scuba Diving in Makati’s Underpass during Typhoon Ondoy’s wrath.

Unable to contact a friend and a team mate.

<UPDATE: We’re now able to contact SteelWing. He’s now safe and only with a fever. Thank you all!.>

Until today (Monday – September 28, 2009), we are unable to contact GM SteelWing. He lives in Sampaloc, Manila and we hope that he’s okay. If someone knows Poli Josef Iñigo personally aka “SteelWing” or if you’re his neighbor, is there any news about him? We were unable to contact him since Saturday. He’s not also replying in our text messages.

You can help the victims of Ondoy

Currently, as you’ve seen in the news, there are lots of ways to help the victims of Ondoy. Google even setup a landing page for

You can also see in that google page your nearest relief operations center where you can send your donations of bottled waters, canned goods, rice, old clothes and etc…

Donate To Red Cross

We can also donate to the Philippine red Cross right in our seats via our cellphones by sending RED<space><amount> to 4493 for SMART or 2899 for GLOBE subscribers.

ex. RED 300 to 4493 for SMART or 2899 for GLOBE subscribers.

Sorry for setting the Tournament on-hold and thank you all in advance. Hope everyone’s safe and take care.

Lost Empire Blog Contest

A few minutes from now, we will launch the Lost Empire Blog Contest! Just blog about Perfect World’s latest expansion: The Lost Empire and you may win the customized PW iPod Nano.

Here’s an example post for those who wants to join this contest

This post is an entry to where they are giving away in-game items and the Perfect World iPod nano.

After playing for a while in the Lost Empire, I believe that the enlightenment quest is very difficult. Unless you’re one of those players who tends to compete with others and be the first to achieve this.

The Cube of fate is nice and gives more fun since it’s not-your-regular-dungeon.

PW-iPOD-Nano-Front3So that’s a sample blog post. Just add your opinion or what you think about the lost empire and share your blog to the PW Community!

Read the full mechanics of the contest in this link.

To post your blog link entries,

Have fun to you all and goodluck to the bloggers!

Of course, I can’t join this contest since I’m the one who will post it in the PWBoards.

On Perfect World bots, cheat and hacks

We’ve seen it. Tested it, tried it, used it and even go documented them well enough just to report it to our game developers.

But why do most players result to this?

In a free-to-play MMORPG like Perfect World, it really would make sense if people will use these cheats rather than on a game with subscription. You wouldn’t want to pay a subscription fee if only the bot is the one playing.

For obvious reasons, it’s to take advantage. Farming while you go sleep, eat or while taking a bath is kinda tempting. Also, no one could deny now that there are business-minded players out there selling items or in-game currency for real money. These Businessmen use Third-party programs or hire “pilots” to get their business running.

What’s good to a player may be bad to the whole community

And this is why Cheats, Hacks, bots, or most third-party programs are ILLEGAL for mmorps… This breaks the balance of the in-game economy. The game mechanics, restrictions, quests, mobs, and other game features are there for a reason and that reason is to make the game more interesting.

Will you continue playing an online game if you’ll just see 2-4 people botting their way to level 100? No.

BANZOR!

We ban them and they tell us, they’re just using coins or a macro keyboard rather than a bot.

That line is the most commonly used alibi when we ban someone for using Third-party programs. But what they don’t know is that we can see everything in the LOGS.

What’s a log? A log is the data the server keeps or is using to operate. Logs can be instructions for the server what it should do next or what the client is doing.

One good example of a server log of a character using a coin or a macro keyboard is:

Pressed F1 /cast heal

Pressed F1 /cast heal

Pressed F1 /cast heal

Pressed F1 /cast heal

Pressed F1 /cast heal

Pressed F1 /cast heal

Pressed F1 /cast heal

Pressed F1 /cast heal

Pressed F1 /cast heal

Pressed F1 /cast heal

As you can see, the log is repeated since the F1 key is being pressed repeatedly. Which indicates or can be an evidence that a player really is on a coin-mode keyboard or using a Macro.

However, if it’s a bot, the log will look like:

/cast Heal

Move to 251,68

/startattack

/move to 223, 60

/stopattack

/Immortal Burst

So you see… we really will know if someone is using a third-party program.

Here’s a Tip

If you love your account or character, don’t even try using them.
