Perfect World Patching problems and fixes
There are different problems for the patch and different solutions as well. Below are the solutions on how to fix the Frost City Patching problems.
Uninstall - Reinstall - Patch
The easiest but time consuming solution is definitely this. The moment you encounter a Frost City patching problem and you don’t know what to do, just do the ff:
1. Uninstall the PW Client. (you can download the manual patch here, while doing the uninstall-reinstall of the client)
2. Reinstall the PW Client.
3. Patch.
Remember, that’s the easiest but the LOOOOONGEST solution.
World_targets.txt error and fix
The moment you receive a World_targets.txt error, cancel your patching and do the ff:
1. Find Perfect World directory folder, element>maps>world>
2. Right click on world_targets.txt
3. Select "Properties"
4. Uncheck "read only"
5. Click on “Apply”
6. Run Perfect World Client and patch.
Manual Patching
1. Download the Frost City patch here
2. Extract file “ec_patch_12-27.rar”
3. Run PW Client
4. Click on “Update”
5. Open “ec_patch_12-27”
DDS Patching Problem
For the files with the .dds extension error, here’s the solution:
1. Stop patching.
2. Locate your Perfect World Directory
3. Inside the directory, locate the elements folder and open it.
4. Inside, locate the info folder and open it.
5. The folder contains dds and text files. Delete them all. (Or cut and paste them into a backup directory if youre in doubt about this solution).
6. Once everything inside the info folder is deleted, resume patching.

need help! the patch won’t load up to the last part/ it jst stop at 95% and it wnt move/ urgent need pls cnt open my accnt for 2 days now help!!!

panu mu ma extract ung downloaded file with an extension name *.rar tpos main program to use when trying to open is paint pero di pede kac di supported ng bitmap extension. panu extract nun?

Thanks for the detailed info.. hnd nmn palpak… just follow the instructions.. and for the record.. lvl up came first here in the Philippines. read the forums po para wala hustle.. I like all games of level up except Ragna kasi parang pambata.. hehe pero panalo PW… PW Rules!!

kaso sobrang mahal lng magpakasal.. tsk tsk.. un lng comment ko… most of the players are still students and almost half of them can’t afford to load up… my suggestion, target the average players, you’ll see, the company will have more profit.. hehe pwede na ba me apply as consultant.. hahaha

bakit po ganun… 2 days na error… ang hirap idownload ung new patch ang tagal sobra… tapos ung sa world_target.txt pagkadating 95% stock up na… anu ba yan.. anu ba my prob? lvl-up o tong pc ko na talaga?! toink! hehehe… miss ko na PW eh..

amp yan…. almost 97% na ung update ng patch sabay ng error sa dungeon_e1.mp3 puuuttteee 3% na lng sumablay ba… 2 days na ak0 di mkalar0 sa lintik na patch na yan… palpak amp…

hayaazz.. isa itong sumpa ako din 3 days na akong naglalamay sa lintik na patch na yan…ang ginagawa ko pag nag error close ko ung launcher den patch uli nag tutuloy naman siya di na niya nababsa ung certain error sa part na may error last patch amp! pa ulit ulit nga lang ako ni re install ko kasi pw..sinunod ko naman din ung sa manual patch at world targe.txt errors haayzz sana nga lang matapos na ako

Why is the “dungeon_e1.mp3″ always stop/error? What am i supposed to do? I followed your way’s but, What’s wrong? I’m 3 days not online because of that patch?

Delete mo yung dungeon_e1.mp3 sa Perfect World directory mo then patch ka.OR use the manual patch. Mas madali.

nag-install po kc me ng new kz ng format me ng pc. ung cd ko po os version-6 lang ung pw then @ the moment andun na nga sa problem ko na error is it ok kung i update ko sya sa manual patch ng frost city? Nid answer po sana thx..

@Honesty,
I suggest you get the version 12 installer. Yung version 6 is talagang incompatible.

PW patch version key 6-12 ang dapat nilang solusyunan!!!!! mag post nga sila nang manual patch version nito 6-12,… pwede ba kayong mga taga level up, idistribute nyo ung mga bagong client installer na latest patch na!!! hindi ung puro i papatch pa.. corny nyo
